Phillies' Hamels is suspended

Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels was suspended five games and was fined an undisclosed amount of money for admitting he intentionally threw at Nationals phenom Bryce Harper in Sunday's game.

Cole Hamels admits to prank, says he won't go on DL

Hamels had already left the park by the time the clubhouse opened postgame on Thursday and his locker was empty and nameplate gone, leaving reporters and teammates confused. Friday he admitted to the pulling the joke.
