A LIGHT DRIZZLE and clouds covered Citizens Bank Park yesterday afternoon, much the same way Cole Hamels' future with the organization lies in a murky gray area. An iconic playoff hero of years past, Hamels dominated the rumor mill and Twitter feeds all offseason as a trade chip, as the Phillies have moved further from those deep October runs into full-on rebuilding mode.

Phillies' Cole Hamels: 2015 season 'could be really fun'

Despite being the subject of rampant trade rumors this spring, Cole Hamels will start the season as a member of the Phillies , as he is slated to take the mound against the Boston Red Sox on Opening Day. Ahead of Monday's season opener, Hamels met with the media on Friday afternoon and acknowledged that the upcoming season will likely be a different from previous years in Philadelphia.
